Parenting is probably the hardest job you will ever have. In my work with children, I have learned about child development and how to work with them. I often think of myself as a child translator helping parents to know how to work with their child at a developmentally appropriate level. I enjoy providing support to parents.

In my work with parents, I focus on teaching methods that involve coaching and modeling for your child rather than just talking to them. If you feel like your parenting is not going the way you want it to, we can work together to make it more effective.

Here are some topics that can be covered in parenting support sessions:

• working on a child’s difficult behavior

• creating a routine to get homework or chores accomplished

• supporting a highly emotional child

• creating a plan for how to be a parenting team

• helping a child with their negative mindset

• managing your own anxiety while parenting an anxious child

• focusing on problem solving in your parenting
